Auction night will not only have the traditional spirited bidding on birdhouses, but also a silent auction featuring birdhouses created by K-3 students from Breadsprings Day School.
This account of the student's project came from an email from one of the teachers.
"The kids really enjoyed making the birdhouses. Teachers did have to help guide them in their design of their bird houses or else they would all be full of glitter. The students were paired up in each age group and were told to design their birdhouse on paper then where given the materials to help with their design. Teachers also showed them other birdhouses from online and from last year's birdhouse gallery. It was a learning experience for the students and the teachers.
We both had fun decorating and coming up with ideas. We talked to the students about what the birdhouse auction was for and the students were happy to give their birdhouses to you for the Relay For Life.
The teachers also made birdhouses: The Elvis birdhouse, The Japanese and brick-looking birdhouse, and the blue painted birdhouse with a red cardinal on it were made by teachers."
